Context & Problem
Managing multiple backup clusters was fragmented and time-consuming. There was no single place to see what was happening across the fleet, making it harder to spot issues and respond quickly.
Shaping the Core Product Direction
Together with the Product Owner, I explored different directions and shaped the core concept for Fleet Manager. We mapped and tested user flows to understand what users needed most, simplify the experience, and identify potential pain points. This helped us define a clear product direction before moving into design.
Designing for Clarity, Not Complexity
We wanted to keep Fleet Manager as simple as possible. Instead of overwhelming users with data, we focused on what matters most: clear system states, key metrics, and the areas that need attention. This became one of the core principles of the product’s UI/UX.

Centralized Infrastructure Monitoring
A centralized dashboard for remotely monitoring backup clusters, tracking storage and hardware health, managing access, and responding to alerts.
Cluster Management
Remotely monitor all enrolled clusters, with a centralized view of their usage, health, and system status.
Alerts
User can receive instant alerts across clusters and individual devices to quickly identify outages, overages, and potential threats, helping them take action before they impact operations.
Monitoring
User can view usage, health, and status across multiple clusters in one place, making it easier to spot issues, track infrastructure, and maintain overall visibility.
Access Control
User can delegate access to specific devices and environments, giving service providers a flexible way to manage permissions and provide the right level of visibility to each team.
